Scrap Fabric Toddler Fun

Last night I was in a crafting mood, because dinner was done and the kitchen was clean I actually had time to sit down at the sewing machine and make something. Thanks to my hubby who loaded the dishwasher for me. :)

So there has been an empty wipe case laying on the floor of my daughter's room, I know I was too lazy to pick it up and put it away, and I thought that it would be fun for her to play with. Well a thought came to me, I have a ton of fabric scraps that I really can't make much with so why not make a fun toy for my daughter to play with.

I pulled out my fabric bins and rummage through them to find long strips of fabric. I was in luck I found a few. So I got to work. Here's what I started out with.

It doesn't look like much now but it will.

I sewed the pieces together. I didn't even care that the pieces were even or completely straight know that it was going to be for a toddler. When I was done I had a long piece of umatched fabric strips.

I stuffed them into the wipe box,

and then handed it my daughter who was super excited to play with it as you can see from the pictures.

Don't mind the half naked baby, dad has just given her a bath. A fun, cheap and easy baby toy that will provide endless hours of fun. You can even add on to it for more colors or even textures.
