Getting the Hang of It

So, I have been thinking of alternative ways to earn a little extra income that I hope will become profitable enough for me to quit my day job. A few of my friends have been posting about Social Spark and Chunky Bling and I have received emails about it so I thought what the heck I will check them out. Well I have signed up for both. I'm trying them out to see how well I do, and I wanted to invite you all to check them out. What do you have to loose? Nothing, because it's free to sign up for both!

Birthday Necklace Tutorial

This was the fastest idea that I have ever thrown together. As some of you may know I teach Nursery at church (18 months -2) and there were 2 littles girls whose birthdays happen to fall on Sunday. About 30 mins before I had to leave for church I had an idea to make cute little birthday necklaces with the cupcake liners that I got at GNO. Please forgive me for the small amount of pictures but it should be enough to get the idea across.

Supplies

- cupcake liner
- card stock
- glue
- scalloped scrapbook scissors
- circle printables
- yarn or ribbon

First you want to print out the small cirles that say Birthday Girl/ Boy.

Next cut out the circle with the scalloped scissors and glue it to the middle of the cupcake liner. Then cut small slits around the line so that it will open and lay flat.

Next print out the large circle and cut out the scalloped scissors and glue the liner to it. Then punch a couple holes on the top.

Thread the yarn or ribbon and tie and viola you have a supper cute birthday necklace for a special little boy or girl!

Here are few fun ideas that I found surfing the internet to make the Fourth of July fun and festive.

Star Medallions from Martha Stewart

Flag Cake-Stand Monument from Martha Stewart. (Yummy and Festive)

Patriotic Pops from Family Fun ( I wish the picture was bigger)

Firecrackers from All You. (How cute are those firecrakers!?)

Independence Day Jar Fillers from Lovin Simplicity

I hope these inspire you to make your 4th of July festive and fun. :)
